Dear Summer

Dear Autumn,
Please don't be upset with me, but I had an urge for a little bit of summer. I love pumpkins and apples so very much. Let's just consider the strawberries and lemonade a postcard from a dear friend that will be visiting in another season. I still love you, Autumn.
Love,
Nicole

So, yes. I had a very strong craving for some strawberry lemonade and I'm here to share my super simple recipe with you! Sadly, I didn't take a photo of my own lemonade this afternoon, so here's a lovely photo found on flickr.

Strawberry Lemonade
1 bag of frozen strawberries
1 can of lemonade concentrate
1/2 cup of sugar
water

Mix the lemonade concentrate with water as directed on the can. Chop up the strawberries (while still frozen) with a food processor or a knife. Add to the lemonade along with the sugar and stir well. Pour into a pretty cup and enjoy!

Side note: You can certainly use fresh strawberries, if you have them, but don't be afraid of the frozen strawberries at the grocery. Frozen fruits are generally picked and frozen right away as opposed to "fresh" produce in the supermarkets which may sit around for as long as two weeks losing nutrients and flavor due to shipping and shelf life.
